The first 15 chapters of every novel on Plotrixx are free. However, login is required to read any chapter, as this allows us to track your progress and provide a seamless reading experience.

Yes! An account is required to read any chapter on the platform. Having a free account lets you save your reading progress, bookmark your favorite stories, and receive notifications when new chapters are unlocked.

Not right now. Reading requires an active internet connection for both Free and Coin readers, so we can accurately track your progress and unlocks. Offline downloads are on our roadmap - we'll announce it here when it's available.

Yes! When logged in, your reading progress, bookmarks, and history automatically sync across all your devices - mobile, tablet, and desktop. Sign in with the same account and pick up exactly where you left off.

Yes. The reading view allows you to adjust the font size with a range of 10, 12, 14, or 16. You can also switch between Dark and Light modes to suit your preference. Other formatting options like font family and spacing are currently fixed.

We encourage writers to publish in a variety of languages. While our current library primarily consists of English and Hindi, we will add more regional languages as writers contribute them. You can check for available languages using the filter on the Browse page.

The first 15 episodes of every audiobook are free. However, login is required to listen to any episode so that we can accurately track your progress across the series.

Yes - variable playback speed (0.75× to 2×) is available to every listener, Free or Coin. Find the speed button in the floating audio player.

Yes! A sleep timer is available to every listener. Set it to pause after 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, or at the end of the current episode. Find it in the audio player settings (⚙️ icon).

Not right now. Listening requires an active internet connection for both Free and Coin listeners. Offline downloads are on our roadmap - we'll announce it here when it's available.

All audiobooks stream at 128kbps by default, the same for every listener. Voice artists upload in MP3 or WAV, we transcode for optimal streaming.

After you finish the last free chapter or episode (15 for novels/audiobooks, episode 1 for shows), the next one locks for a set number of days before it's free to unlock. The wait time depends on format: Once the wait passes, the next chapter/episode unlocks automatically and you'll get a notification. Finishing it starts the timer for the one after, and this cycle repeats. Coins skip the wait entirely.

1 coin = ₹0.50. The number of coins per unlock depends on the format: Coin bundles offer better value the more you buy:

No. Coins are spent when you unlock a chapter or episode and that unlock is permanent. Unspent coins in your wallet have no expiry date. We don't believe in punishing you for not spending fast enough.

Yes - unlocked chapters and episodes are permanently yours. You only spend coins once per chapter or episode. Re-read or re-listen as many times as you like. Your unlocked content is tied to your account, safe across devices.

Both give you the exact same chapter or episode - the only difference is speed. Wait it out for free (2/4/7 days depending on format), or spend coins to unlock it instantly. There's no other paid tier that skips the queue faster than coins do.

Yes! Your coin wallet works across the entire platform - there's no separate wallet for reading, listening, or watching. Just remember the cost per unlock is different by format: 2 coins for a novel chapter, 4 coins for an audiobook episode, 6 coins for a show episode.

Yes - the Starter Writer plan is completely free. Upload unlimited chapters and earn from coin unlocks (chapter 16+). No listing fees, no hidden costs. Selected writers can also unlock Premium Novel status (chapter-1 monetization, free cover art, discounted trailers, social promotion) through contests, campaigns or the Writer’s Boost add-on, and new novels that hit our milestones qualify for the Rixx Revenue Program (RRP), which pays per word - see the Rixx Revenue Program section below.

Writer’s Boost is a ₹499 add-on that helps a novel get noticed and qualify for the Rixx Revenue Program faster. It includes: You can see how it compares with the other options on the Offers page.

Premium status is granted in three ways: automatically to approved entries in Plotrixx contests or promotional campaigns; for 1 novel of your choice when you buy Writer’s Boost (no contest entry needed); or by request to the Content team for other qualifying publications.

Yes! Hindi and English writers are welcome, and romance and school love stories are both accepted. Our Content Guidelines apply to every story.

You earn in two ways: Novels enrolled in the Rixx Revenue Program (RRP) are paid per word instead of the 60% coin-unlock share, plus a guaranteed revenue share on conversions (audiobooks, shows, translations). Earnings are paid monthly via UPI/bank transfer once you reach the ₹200 minimum threshold. A 3% payment gateway fee applies.

You do. For regular novels, Plotrixx does not claim ownership - you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and distribute your content, and you can unpublish or delete your work at any time. Exception: for novels enrolled in the Rixx Revenue Program (RRP), Plotrixx holds exclusive conversion rights (audiobooks, video shows, translations and more), backed by a guaranteed revenue share for you on each new medium. Yes. To ensure a consistent reading experience, we have the following requirements:

There's no mandatory schedule, write at your own pace. That said, consistent publishing (weekly or bi-weekly) dramatically helps reader retention - and on the Rixx Revenue Program, an unbroken daily streak raises your per-word rate. Scheduled publishing - write in batches and auto-publish on a set day - is included free for every writer.

Yes! Voice artists can request to narrate your novel, or you can reach out to one directly. You approve the collaboration and agree on a revenue split, discussed with our PR Lead and finalised by signing a contract.

Your dashboard shows total readers, chapter-level read counts, reader retention, and coin earnings - all included free for every writer.

RRP pays writers per word for new novels, based on a Streak Status system, plus a guaranteed revenue share whenever the novel is converted into another medium. Reader unlocks work exactly as for any other novel (chapter 16+ via wait or coins). The 60% coin-unlock share does not apply to an RRP novel.

Your novel must meet all of these: There is no external application or Google Form. Your standing on the platform and your novel's consistent progress qualify it for the program. These criteria reflect our newly growing platform and may be adjusted as we expand. With Writer’s Boost, the views and followers requirements drop to 250 views and 8 followers for one month only.

Yes. While your Writer’s Boost is active, your novel needs only: This reduced requirement is available for one month only. The other RRP criteria, such as new stories only and the minimum word count, are not changed by the Boost.

It isn't a flat rate - it depends on your Streak Status:

Payment is guaranteed as long as each episode receives at least 10 views. If a novel stalls, we wait 15 days for progress and send a notice before freezing it. A freeze only stops new chapter publishing while the novel can't earn, protecting your effort, and it lifts as soon as the novel progresses.

No. RRP contracts are for new stories only. Previously written stories aren't eligible, and a novel already published on another platform can't be submitted, as it could create copyright conflicts and risks for the platform.

You earn as you publish, shown on your dashboard and wallet in real time. The ₹200 minimum and 3% payment gateway fee apply.

For RRP-enrolled novels, Plotrixx holds exclusive conversion rights: the right to convert your novel into other mediums (audiobooks, video shows, translations and more), backed by a guaranteed revenue-share agreement with you for each new medium.

We accept MP3 (minimum 128kbps, 320kbps recommended) and WAV files. Episodes are re-encoded for optimal streaming. Artists with Premium Audiobook status get priority processing (<2 hours) and quality certification.

You earn in two ways: Minimum payout ₹200. A 3% payment gateway fee applies. Payments monthly via UPI. When an RRP novel is converted into an audiobook, the revenue split is agreed in your collaboration contract.

Free Artist: up to 3 audiobooks. Each audiobook can have as many episodes as needed. If you've been granted Premium Audiobook status, reach out to the Content team about expanding your upload limit.

Your vocal performance is your intellectual property. For original audiobooks you create independently, you retain all performance rights. For collaborative audiobooks, rights are shared per your agreed terms with the writer. Plotrixx only holds a non-exclusive hosting and distribution licence.

Browse writer profiles who've noted they're open to audiobook adaptations, or reach out directly through a novel's page. Our PR Lead can also help facilitate the introduction and finalise the revenue split with a contract.

Record in a quiet room with soft furnishings to reduce echo. Use a USB condenser microphone if possible. Maintain a consistent distance of 15–20 cm from the mic. Aim for -18 to -20 dBFS average loudness, peaks no louder than -3 dBFS. Check our Creator Resources section for a full guide.

We accept UPI (all apps), debit & credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), net banking, and popular wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, etc.). All transactions are encrypted and we never store card details on our servers.

Coin purchases are non-refundable once the coins are issued to your wallet, since they're available for use immediately. If a payment fails or is charged twice due to a technical error, contact us and we'll sort it out.

There's no subscription or trial to worry about, Plotrixx runs on a free-to-start, pay-per-unlock coin model. Read or listen to the first 15 chapters/episodes of anything for free, and only buy coins when you want to skip the wait. Start with the smallest bundle (60 coins, ₹29) to try it out.

Currently no - Plotrixx is ad-free for all users during our early launch period. Our model is built on coins. If this ever changes, all users will receive at least 30 days' advance notice.

Yes. An email receipt is sent automatically for every purchase. GST-compliant invoices are available from Account → Billing. For custom invoices for reimbursement, contact billing@novasounds.in.

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. For writers, your published novels will be taken down. We recommend exporting your data before deletion.

Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising. Data collected (reading habits, device info) is used solely to improve your Plotrixx experience. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Click "Login" in the top navigation, then choose "Forgot Password?". Enter your registered email and we'll send a secure reset link within a few minutes. If you signed up via Google or Apple, use that login method instead.

Yes! A single Plotrixx account lets you read, listen, write, and narrate - all in one place. Switch between your Reader Dashboard and Creator Dashboard from the account menu without logging out.
